    1. GeeEss!

Thank you for reading my post and your valuable comment. Himalayan salt is so useful because it contains approximately 86 minerals. It contains a lot of sodium Chloride as well. Therefore precautions should be taken, same as you do for common salt. You can replace common salt with Himalayan salt. But you have to take enough iodine because it has only traces of iodine.

      Thanks

  8. Sleep is so important for our bodies to function at its best, when a person is sleep deprived  they can be equated to a drunk person. So many people struggle with insomnia and just getting a good night rest , and often times turn to sleeping pills which can come with a lot of side effects, a very common one being addiction. Many people lack proper sleep hygiene and i am happy you mentioned a few tips in your blog such as putting your electronic away before bed. I really enjoyed reading your blog, best of luck . Great website.

    1. Jamiro!

Thank you for dropping by. I have seen people engaged with the mobile phones almost full night and finally deprived of sleep. If you are able to manage your stress well, you can overcome insomnia. Practicing Yoga or meditation regularly is also a very good remedy.

      Thanks

  9. Thanks for your post as I’ve been looking at natural remedies for insomnia. I had no idea about the benefits of Himalayan Sea Salt! That’s  amazing. It’s funny isn’t it how ideas can change over time – as I was growing up we were always taught that salt was bad so we eliminated it from everything we ate. Now, the thinking is that our body does need it, and that there are actual benefits from pink salt. Good to know because it’s also so tasty!

I’m going to to give your first recipe a try with the salt and honey, I’m intrigued to see how it works. I will let you know!

    1. Melissa!

The Himalayan Salt is not sea salt. It is derived from Himalayan Rock mines and superior to sea salt because it contains minerals. Thanks for visiting my post.

  10. Hi Prabakaran

I had never heard of the salt and sugar remedy you speak about in this post. I found it really interesting to read about. I know a few people who have severe sleep issues so will definitely pass on your advice and blog post details to them.

I don’t usually find it very difficult to go to sleep unless it’s too hot but I am definitely a restless sleeper, waking up a number of times during the night. I am sure this is probably due to stress. Do you know of some natural remedies for stress that may be useful?

  11. Did you mean don’t drink water 90 minutes before sleep? Also, do you know if listening to meditation sounds like nature sounds will help with sleep disorders? I hear it helps people but I don’t really know if there is scientific studies behind it.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

    1. Drinking water before sleep makes you wake up in the midnight in if you are an insomnia patient you will not sleep further. Therefore at least 60 minutes before sleeping will do. I know about the meditation sounds which not only enhances sleep but also good for overall health.  I also have written an article also about it, which you can read.

      Thanks for commenting Jessie
