AutoCAD 23.1

How AutoCAD works

The user begins by drawing an arbitrary polygon on the screen. The software then uses the polygon to lay out a 2D or 3D drawing.

CAD is the generic term for Computer-Aided Design. It is a graphic software that provides geometric modeling and drafting capabilities for industry professionals. It can be used for such tasks as:

Layout of factory or plant

Technical drawings

Mechanical drawings

Electrical drawings

Architectural drawings

Geometric modeling

Coordinate plotting

Creating and editing topographical maps

Technical drawings, are drawings intended for their intended use. They are meant for presentation and are not suitable for mass production or assembly lines, etc. A CAD program is designed to create and edit CAD drawings, so that they can be passed on to other CAD software.

A CAD drawing can be either 2D or 3D. The 2D CAD drawings are limited to representing objects in two dimensions. They show the edges of objects and are used to draw shapes. They are usually composed of lines and polylines. 3D CAD drawings are usually composed of polylines and polyedges. They are used to represent three-dimensional objects. They may be created on a drafting table using a graphics tablet, or on a computer using a mouse and keyboard.

The ease of which users may transfer information among 2D and 3D CAD drawing files allows the CAD project manager to change the look of a drawing on the fly without starting a new drawing file. Each drawing is associated with a specific application called a project. The project file holds all of the information needed to recreate the drawing, and it can be edited and used in multiple CAD applications.

AUTOCAD Features

AutoCAD is powerful CAD tool. Below is a list of features that makes it a good choice for drafting.

Types of 2D and 3D drawings

Draw any shape and the software will fill it

Create walls, gates, doors, etc.

Create and edit paths

Sketch multiple components on the same sheet

Plot coordinates and other geometries

Nested views and design aids

Make 3D drawings with AutoCAD

Create drawings in AutoCAD

Create a drawing based on the polygon or outline that the user draws

Draw lines, arcs,

Awards and accolades

In 2008, AutoCAD was named one of the top ten technology products of the year by Macworld. AutoCAD ranked third in the Macworld 2009 best product awards, out of products from over 200 entries. In 2010 and 2011, AutoCAD was once again nominated for Macworld’s product of the year award.

In 2009, Autodesk announced the AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT 2010 awards. AutoCAD received awards for best draft rendering application, best technical reference, and best application in the shape of a ball (that is, one that rotates like a ball).

Open Autocad.

Open this link and download this file.
Save it to disk.

Open the.reg file (Step 3) with notepad. (You can use Notepad++ too).

Find the following text:
“C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2016\acad.exe”

Replace it with
“C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2016\acad.exe” %

save it, close notepad.

Warning: If you have another version of Autocad, it will be replaced too.

Now you can play with the keys to change the program to your choice.

Modification of the two-locus diallelic model of the peppered moth (Biston betularia) to include epistatic effects of two loci.
The di-allel (two-locus) diallelic model of the peppered moth (Biston betularia) is modified to include the effect of two non-codominant loci on color-dependent selection. This two-locus diallelic model is shown to predict the observed (expected) combination of alleles at a given polymorphic locus in a population. The model is modified by two new assumptions, which allow a quantitative description of the effect of heterozygosity on frequency-dependent selection. This model is used to investigate the role of epistasis in the evolution of the color polymorphism of the peppered moth. The model is shown to be consistent with the observed pattern of heterozygosity at the D locus. In addition, the model is shown to be consistent with observed divergence at the D locus. -286, -391, -512?

Reworked Edit Mode:

Edit mode is revised to be simpler and more approachable. It now provides:

• A Block Play function for showing a reference image and applying it to your drawing. (video: 3:00 min.)

• Smart rectangles and smart lines, both of which can be specified using either a point or a variable (rectangle: 4:13 min., line: 3:22 min.).

• Expanded selection and insertion tools to make operations more accurate.

• Clear commands and tooltips to aid users in common operations.

• Support for scaling the DrawOrder and EditOrder in the drawing window.

• Tooltips with suggestions.

• Revamped Labels feature to help you find the correct label and work with it directly, without typing. (video: 2:45 min.)

Additional real-time feedback:

When you use a coordinate system other than the Global coordinate system, AutoCAD draws a plus symbol to help you keep track of your axes. As you move objects in your drawing, this symbol automatically moves in sync with your objects. (video: 1:45 min.)

Graphical User Interface and other improvements:

• The user interface has been refreshed with new colors, updated fonts and larger icons.

• AutoCAD draws the content of the drawing window more clearly, depending on the tools you use.

• An animated grid preview is provided when you create a new drawing from the Options dialog box.

• The ribbon display is updated with a new look to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.

• The keyboard shortcuts are highlighted in the ribbon, along with the other shortcuts available in the main menu.

• The editing and review help files are available with a new look.

• Improved feature suggestions and improved Error Info messages that provide more details.

Improvements for preparing for your exams:

• The new exam prep books feature a new test-prep mode to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses.

• A new exam orientation helps you take a first look at AutoCAD from a design perspective.

• You can save and name your test and review session files, making it easier to work with the files.

• The Bookmarks feature displays a “bookmark” icon for each section in a test or review book.
